This is Anima from Final Fantasy X, I’ve grown up playing and falling in love with each of these games.
This was also my first tattoo. At the moment I’m planning on making a full arm out of final fantasy related stuff but for now… a start.
It was done by Marc at Scribble Ink in Essex, Uk.
My thigh piece, none other than Velma herself. A year in the making, this was my final sitting. People have told me I resemble her for years, so getting this tattoo is my way of owning and embracing that. It’s also a tribute to intelligent and sexy women (because these things aren’t mutually exclusive.) :)
Today is an important day for North Carolinians. We are making our voices heard all over this state to let people know that we don’t stand for the legislation of discrimination. The rainbow appeared in the Bible as a symbol of peace and protection for Noah. The LGBT community has adopted the rainbow as a symbol of peace and hope as well. The heart is a timeless, universal symbol of love and acceptance. The daithe piercing, traditionally, was to act as a gate to the ear canal, to filter out harsh, hateful words, and bad ideas.
In anticipation / celebration of today’s victory for equal rights for our friends and family, I’d like to offer a gift. Daithe piercings with these lovely rainbow hearts will be done at the cost of jewelry and supplies ($30) today and tomorrow. After that, they’ll be full price with a portion of the proceeds going to a local LGBT organization. Please feel free to reblog and share!
